"GUTS, SKILL & SPIRIT"
On Saturday, April 24, 1971 while in a cut in the Hoa Nghia area and a "FRIENDLY AREA" as reported by the ARVN security, we had four men KIA. These are three pictures of these brave men, with one picture not avaliable. They are left to right:
CPT Edwin Heisse age 31, SP-4 Allen Thomas Boehm age 18, 1LT Kevin A. Rinard age 25, & SP-4 James B. Harris age 21, photo not avaliable.
War is not the best place to be, BUT with this tough KICK A*S bunch of "Jungle Eaters" it was bearable. Though we were the grubbiest, most un-military like bunch, we still accomplished our missions with pride and honor. I never want anyone to have to go to war, but if you do I sure hope you get with a rough and rowdy bunch like the "Jungle Eaters."  They were always there when you needed them. In the jungles, back in camp or the NDP. They were & still are full of...
"GUTS, SKILL & SPIRIT."
THANK YOU "JUNGLE EATERS

Thanks To Each of You.
Kimbrell & Kight,
Enjoying a small connection to home.
Just another way that shows how the support &  brotherhood works.
Ed, what is that you are looking at?
Could it be the dreaded BEES...
Bernsen & Bush, the coolest of the cool.
"MOP" Blake providing our own security.
Anybody else see the gas mask? Not to many in Nam.
Taking a break and catching up on gossip.
Now Mike, why did you go and mess up that PLOW?
