| Ron Tluchak, 62, passed away on Monday, 22 August 2011 from lung cancer. Ron had contacted Hepatics C and was sick about 18 months prior to his death. Ron lived in Williamston, New Jersey and his father lived with him. Ron held the rank of SP4 in Vietnam and was a plow operator with the 86th and also the 501st. During his time with the 501st he was a truck operator as well as a plow operator. Ron's nicknames were "Tripper" and "R.L." and he had "Virginia Gentleman" printed on the side of his plow. Ron had a ready smile and a joke for everyone. One of his current joys was driving hot rods. His email name was "hot rod ronnie". Ron will be sadly missed by all his former unit members. The last reunion that Ronnie attended was at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
